SEOUL - SOLO TRIP - SUMMER 2015

How do I get involve with this so call solo backpacker trip?..Ini semua gara2 mullet lancang kata if ada ticket murah RM350 return to seoul, aku akan pergi walaupun seorang and over the weekend je. Lagi satu reason, sdh semestinya disebabkan colleague aku yang asyik "racun" suh aku g solo trip.

For accommodation, I still prefer to stay at Boa Guesthouse sebab dia dekat ngan Hongdae Station, senang la masa datang and nak pergi airport. Rate dia for dorm, aku data dlm RM80 per nite and single room RM110. I've booked through air asia go sebab paling murah time tu. Tapi agoda pun mahal dlm RM5 lebih camtu. But since this trip should be the solo budget trip, kita jimat mana yang boleh jimat.

But to those yang suka jalan2 kat myeongdong and tak suka hari2 tukar train, better duduk area sana or namsan. My friend told me Namsan Guesthouse pun best.

If ada yang nak stay kat BOA Guesthouse, you may refer direction below:-

a) From airport, look for the signboard for the train station. Ada 2 section, satu non stop airport transfer and yang satu lagi stop every station. Sila pilih yang stop every station, nama dia AREX (Airport Express Train). Btw, make sure beli T-Money and top up dull.

b) From Incheon International Airport, berhenti kena Hongik Universiti.

c) Cari direction Exit 4 masa nak keluar from Hongik University Station.

d) If you choose using the escalator masa nak keluar, you kena menghala ke main road, ambil kanan. Masa jalan akan nampak caffe benne at your right. Jalan terus sampan nampak kedai LG or Samsung (tak ingat) at your right. 

e) Akan ada zebra crossing, make sure kedai electronic tu belakang korang and jumpa starbucks lepas melintas zebra crossing tu.

f) Jalan sampai lepas convenience store, ambil kiri masa first junction. At your right will be rice cake shop and left ada coffee shop.

Ni la jalan yang korang akan nampak lepas belok kiri

g) Daki bukit tu, sure akan nampak BOA guesthouse yang comel.

Sampai2, rehat dulu..mandi & solat. Lepas tu, terus jalan keluar menuju ke myeongdong. Kalau dari sini, kena tukar train if nak ke myeongdong. Amek laluan ke Seoul Station and tukar ke line 4, menuju ke Myeongdong.

I'm not a fan of early morning flight..butttt...this time around,we agreed to choose morning flight to maximize our vacation and money.

The morning started quite hectic as me...macam biasa..salah estimate time keluar from home..luckily Bush and Yus dah sampai..deme la orderkan breakfast.

The queue for check in counter/drop baggage is too long. Not sure whether it has nothing to do with the MAS restructuring. However, they are very professional and open more counter and manage to handle the situation smoothly and we manage to get to the boarding gate on time.

I am unable to sleep in the plane, perhaps because its morning which I'm not suppose to sleep or because the uncomfortable seat.So, I choose to become junior paparazzi for myself.

We reach Hong Kong International Airport on time..after took our luggage, we queue to buy Hong Kong Airport Express Pass..It comes with 3 Day MTR Free Pass.. After that, we queue again to buy simcard.. I can't remember how much but it is definitely cheaper than roaming charges by Maxis at RM32 per day. Once our phone is re-energized with internet, we went looking for POPEYE for our lunch. However, it is very unfortunate for us because the original location is close for renovation.

As we are not that hungry, thanks to the superb meal by MAS, we decide to go to the train station and have a rest at the hotel. We have pre-booked Imperial Hotel using Agoda. The location is at Tsim Sha Tsui and have quite a number of halal restaurant there.

One thing with backpacking...you need to walk a lot...the part that I hate..from one station to another...sambil menarik luggage..Alhamdulillah, we manage to reach the hotel without too much hassle..after rehat and solat..we went to nearby mall where Busyra has reminded us numerous times that we need to dine at her favourite, marugame siemens..She fall in love with the restaurant when she dine in Japan..

Personally, the pork in the menu quite turn me off..but the girls knew it better.. we ordered a plain soup..the taste is not bad..and both Yus and Busyra said it not as good as in Japan.. We went to ladies market after lunch...oh God... I miss this place..First day suppose to be window shopping day but we its some tempting and we bought a few things.

After a good walk at ladies market, we took a train back to Tsim Sha Tsui..We went to Victoria Harbour/Avenue Stars.. Besides Avenue Stars and Victoria Harbour, this area also have Space Museum..I went there during my last visit..and found it quite interesting but it is not something that I will do it more than once.

\Another interesting place that we have here is the PENINSULAR HOTEL...OMG!!..if only there is a someone would like to sponsor me for  a night there..It is so beautiful..At first, I thought of drop by at the boutique there...see whether I can afford a Channel or LV..but the boutique close when we reach there about 6.30pm..
